CUREXO announced that it had participated in the North American Spine Society (NASS), the world's largest global multidisciplinary medical organization to promote 'CUVIS-spine', a spinal surgery robot developed with its own technology.

The NASS Society with more than 8,000 health care professionals is known as the world's largest and most prestigious international conference in the spine field. It has been held every September to October, starting with the first conference in 1985.

Marking its 36th anniversary this year, the NASS Society was held for four days from September 29 to October 2 (US standard) at the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center in Boston, USA.

At the NASS conference, CUREXO set up a joint booth with spinal implant company "AEGIS Spine" and focused on explaining the features of the world's fifth commercialized CUVIS-spine through meetings with spine specialists as well as spinal implant company officials.

Moreover, CUREXO considered a non-exclusive agency contract with a number of spine implant companies including Zavation, Orthofix, Spine Wave, Innovasis, Spine Craft, CTL Amedica, and Mirus which participated in this meeting,

In addition, CUREXO demonstrated CUVIS-Spine for renowned Dr. Poelstra . Furthermore, they conducted training for employees with 'AEGIS Spine' and 'Zavation', which purchased Cubis-Spine last month while promoted the strategies for the stable entry of Cubis-Spine in the U.S. medical market.

Meanwhile, CUVIS-spine is a spinal surgery robot that guides the pedicle screw to be accurately inserted into the planned position during surgery for spinal stenosis.

Both patients and staff can minimize radiation exposure because it established a surgical plan based on real time location tracking sensor and uses a separate camera which tracks the insert position for automatic correction. In addition, as it can apply not only 2D images but also 3D images, more accurate surgery is possible.

Cuvis-Spine has been commercialized for the fifth time in the world, and has obtained approval from the European CE and the US FDA, starting with the approval in Korea in 2019. From December last year until recently, a total of seven units were supplied to Korea, the United States, and Australia.
