On the 7th, the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety held the "K-Beauty Experience Hall" at Seoul Plaza to mark the second official "Cosmetics Day." This year’s event moved beyond an industry-focused gathering to become part of everyday life, giving ordinary citizens the chance to experience K-beauty firsthand through a range of products and technologies.
■An Experience Space Made Up of a Corporate Hall and a Policy Hall
The K-Beauty Experience Hall consisted of a "Corporate Hall," where cosmetics companies and organizations introduced their latest technologies and products, and a "Policy Hall," where government ministries and related associations presented cosmetics policy and key initiatives.
■From UV Protection to Skin Age: Cosmax's Range of Hands-On Programs
Taking part in the Corporate Hall, Cosmax drew visitors’ attention with a range of programs, including a UV-protection experience, a “find your perfect lip and base color” station, a skin-age check through skin measurement, and a photo experience where visitors could pose as Cosmax researchers.
■The Personal Color Craze Reaches the Booth
Interest has been growing among consumers who want to find colors that suit their skin tone and overall look and use them in their makeup, putting personal-color-based product recommendations in the spotlight. At the Cosmax booth, the program helping visitors find their ideal lip and base color proved especially popular.
One visitor, who waited a long time in line to get a lip color recommendation, said, "I’ve been recommended colors at department stores before, but I felt colors recommended by experts with years of experience would be more reliable, so I forgot about the heat and waited," adding, "I want to take today’s advice to heart and pull off a great autumn makeup look."
