Group BTS announced that they will hold ‘BTS Comeback Live: ARIRANG’ at Gwanghwamun Square in Seoul at 8 PM on March 21st, revealing their new songs, including the title track, for the first time.

Regarding the selection of Gwanghwamun Square as the comeback venue, the agency Big Hit Music stated, “The new album ‘ARIRANG’ is a record that contains BTS’s starting point, identity, and the emotions they want to convey now,” and added, “As the word ‘Arirang’ carries symbolic meaning, we wanted to prepare the first stage in a space that represents Korea.”

In fact, this is the first time a singer will hold a solo performance at Gwanghwamun Square, and this BTS performance is expected to remain a major milestone in Korean cultural history. Additionally, it will be broadcast live worldwide through the global OTT platform Netflix, which is anticipated to make Gwanghwamun and Gyeongbokgung Palace recognized as must-visit holy sites for people around the world, creating a massive promotional effect.

Meanwhile, according to Big Hit Music, BTS will release their 5th regular album ‘ARIRANG’ at 1 PM on the 20th of next month, one day before the performance. It is their first new album in about three years and nine months. This album will include a total of 14 tracks and captures themes of the team’s identity, longing, and universal emotions like deep love.

Furthermore, on the 27th of next month, the documentary film ‘BTS: THE RETURN’, which covers the production process of the new album, will be released exclusively on Netflix. This documentary contains the concerns BTS faced while working on their music and the process of how ‘the BTS of today’ was completed.
