Seongnam City: A Hub for Global Medical Tourism

Seongnam City is a global medical tourism city equipped with advanced medical technology and services. With exceptional medical staff and eclectic tourism resources, this city maintains various projects to provide convenience to medical tourists.

For the comfort of medical tourists, Seongnam provides a comprehensive service such as airport pick-up, hotel reservation, and follow-up management. Also, it offers diverse foreign language interpretation and translation services through the Seongnam City Medical Tourism Coordinator.

In addition, Seongnam City will host the first 'International Medical Tourism Convention' in a primary local government in Korea.

Seongnam International Medical Tourism Convention, held in September 2021, provided diverse programs such as 'Online PR Center,' 'International Conference,' 'Business Consultation,' 'Citizen Health Lecture,' and 'Talk Concert (High Medi, Seongnam).'

The event, held online due to COVID-19, was completed successfully with about 44,000 cumulative views on streaming.

In particular, at the export conference, the city conducted business consultations for three days; it opened up new relationships with additional buyers in promising markets such as Thailand, the Philippines, and Kuwait, and invited 95 foreign buyers from 21 countries.

Through 168 real-time online consultations related to medical services, concierge (hotel, travel, shopping), beauty, quarantine, pharmaceutical/bio, medical devices, etc., it reached the highest achievement ever of 4.63 million dollars (5.4 billion won) in export contract promotion.

In the future, Seongnam City will do its best to promote the Seongnam medical tourism brand to the world and develop Seongnam into a city that represents medical tourism.
