Hanaro Medical Foundation has joined forces with LVIS Corp, a promising Silicon Valley-based venture company, to enhance its early detection system for brain diseases.
As part of this collaboration, Hanaro Medical Foundation has decided to adopt NeuroMatch, LVIS's state-of-the-art brain disease diagnostic solution.
LVIS Corp is a leader in advanced neuro-analysis technology. Its founder, Professor Jin-Hyung Lee, has gained recognition as the first Korean woman to achieve tenure at Stanford University's School of Medicine and the School of Engineering.
LVIS's NeuroMatch is an AI-powered brain disease diagnostic solution that incorporates Digital Twin technology. By inputting brainwave data, it creates a 3D virtual brain and uses AI to identify abnormal areas. The Digital Twin technology enables real-time observation of how the brain interacts with cells and genes while also providing an objective analysis of structural issues and areas requiring treatment.
NeuroMatch has already received approval from the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety in Korea and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). It is currently utilized for epilepsy diagnostics and is set to expand its diagnostic applications to include dementia, sleep disorders, Parkinson's disease, autism, and more.
Hanaro Medical Foundation will introduce AI-based brain disease diagnostic services utilizing NeuroMatch through this agreement. At the same time, LVIS will actively support the foundation to ensure that the services are implemented more efficiently and accurately.
Previously, diagnosing brain diseases required extensive time to analyze large amounts of EEG data manually. However, with NeuroMatch, EEG analysis can be completed within just a few minutes.
Both organizations expressed optimism that more individuals can access brain disease screenings quickly and efficiently.
A representative from Hanaro Medical Foundation stated, “We anticipate that the adoption of AI-based NeuroMatch technology will enable more precise and rapid brain disease diagnostics. Moving forward, we will continue introducing innovative screening services to take the lead in safeguarding our customers' health.”
Meanwhile, Hanaro Medical Foundation, established in 1983 as Korea's first specialized health screening institution, conducts over 3,500 corporate screenings annually, in addition to comprehensive individual check-ups and national health examinations. As a subsidiary of the SCL Group, the foundation has established a robust network with various healthcare affiliates within the group. The SCL Group is a comprehensive healthcare organization that encompasses Hanaro Medical Foundation, the Seoul Clinical Laboratories (SCL), SCL Science, SCL Holdings, Bio Food Lab, Ahealth, and other healthcare-related entities.
